PART 2

The young man unfolded the letter.

“My dear Noah…”

“If you are somehow reading this…”

“Please know…”

“I never stopped looking.”

“Every birthday…”

“I played your favorite song.”

“Hoping…”

“Somewhere…”

“You were still alive.”

The delivery driver could no longer hold back his tears.

He gently rested his hand on the piano keys.

Without thinking…

He played the same lullaby his adoptive mother had taught him as a child.

The caretaker gasped.

“Mrs. Harper played that song every Sunday.”

Weeks later…

The nursing home canceled the auction.

Instead…

The piano was moved to the front lobby.

A small brass plaque was placed beside it.

It read:

“In memory of a grandmother…

…who never stopped believing her grandson was alive.”

Every Sunday afternoon…

Noah returned.

Not as a delivery driver.

But as a volunteer pianist.

Whenever residents gathered around the piano…

He always ended with the same song.

The one his grandmother had played…

For the grandson…

She never stopped waiting for.

Sometimes…

Love doesn’t run out of time.

It simply waits…

Until the right melody brings it home.
